Views around Crieff and the flat entrance

Crieff, Perthshire

The small market town of Crieff is an excellent base for touring and sight-seeing in central Scotland. With a population of  approximately 6000, the town has many amenities yet still retains its individual character. In addition to two small supermarkets, the town has a variety of family-run shops and businesses, including delicatessens, galleries, craft/hobby shops, gift shops and woollen mill shops. The Crieff area offers a variety of visitor attractions, activities and pursuits including :

  • Crieff's annual walking festival 'The Drovers' Tryst' will be held from 11th - 18th October 2008. See www.droverstryst.co.uk
  • The annual Crieff Highland Games will be held on Sunday 17th August 2008.
    See www.crieff-highland-games.co.uk
  • The 2007 Drovers' Tryst included the inaugural "Hairy Coo" cross country mountain bike challenge. This was a great success and it is hoped the "Hairy Coo" will become an annual event. See www.comriecroftbikes.co.uk/hairycoo
