The small market town of Crieff is an excellent base for touring and sight-seeing in central Scotland. With a population of  approximately 7,000, the town has many amenities yet still retains its individual character. In addition to a small supermarket, the town has a variety of family-run shops and businesses, including delicatessens, galleries, craft/hobby shops, gift shops and woollen mill shops.
